How to Access

How to locate a book from the shelve

There is a guide map in front of main entrance of the library. Books are arranged on shelves according to this guide map. Students after depositing their bags and other materials in the baggage counter, have to sign in the register, then they have to show their library lending card. Now the student 3 may to the respective shelves. Students may lend two books at a time for the duration of ten days. After choosing desired books he or she have to fill the requisition slip, and go to circulation counter. Counter staff will help them to access the books and at the time of lending return date is mentioned at the date slip inside the book. Students must ensure before taking the book in the home that there is no mutilation or any marking inside the book. Otherwise he or she shall be responsible for the mutilation or marking.

How to access digital resources

As our college is a member of INFLIBNET, so through NLIST programme we have access over 6000 plus e-journals and 1,00,000 plus e-books freely. Student first sign in the proper register, then with the help of student ID and password they sign in to member’s login to the INFLIBNET NLIST home page. Then they shall read or download their desired article, e-books etc

How to search digital database.

First go to the software LIBRARY MANAGEMENT - OPEN - CHOOSE YEAR 2014 - 15 - LOGIN ID - ADMIN - PASSWORD - ADMIN - GO TO BOOKS (For Book searching) - YOU CAN SEARCH BY TITLE OR BY AUTHOR OR BY SUBJECT.

Library rules and regulations

  • On entering the library, every user will be required to write legibly their names in full, department, year , card number, in the register specified for the purpose.
  • Keep your bags and belongings in the appropriate place.
  • No user shall be entertained without proper library card 4
  • The cards are not transferrable and loan card must be produced at the time of borrowing.
  • Reading room cards must be produced to use reading room, and searching e-resources.
  • All students, honours and general are allowed to lend two books at a time for home issue.
  • Books must be returned within ten days. If the books has no demand then the book may be reissued if needed further.
  • Before taking any book for home issue, students shall check any mutilation or marking is not in the copy. Otherwise the member shall be responsible for the mutilation and marking discovered after.
  • Once books are issued will not be allowed to keep inside the library.
  • Guidelines for photocopy should be followed.
  • Strict silence should be maintained inside the library.
  • Carrying of bags, folders, personal books, any printed material, walkman, food article, are strictly prohibited in the library.
  • Mobile phones must be switched off before entering in to the library.
